Gear Tab

The Gear tab is your permanent camping equipment inventory. Unlike the other tabs, gear items have no done/pending status — they represent what you own, not what you still need to do.

Adding gear

Tap the + button and enter the item name. You can optionally assign it to a container straight away.

Containers

Assign any item to one of the four containers to track where it lives when stored:

Container	Typical use
Toolbox	Tools, repair kit, hardware
Crate 1	General supplies
Crate 2	Overflow / secondary supplies
Duffle Bag	Clothing, sleeping gear, soft items

Items with no container appear under Unassigned.

Grouped display

Items are grouped by container in a fixed order:

Toolbox → Crate 1 → Crate 2 → Duffle Bag → Unassigned

Within each group, items are sorted alphabetically.

Reassigning containers

Tap an existing item to open the detail modal. From there you can:

• Change the container
• Clear the container (moves item to Unassigned)

Searching gear

Use the search bar at the top of the tab to filter by name. Container grouping is preserved while you search, so you can still see which container a matching item belongs to.

Deleting gear

Swipe an item or use the delete button to remove it from your inventory.

Pull-to-refresh

Pull down to reload the list from the device database.

Long-term use

Because the Gear tab is a static inventory rather than a trip checklist, you only need to maintain it once. Add new equipment as you buy it and it will always be there for your next trip.
