Recipes
The Recipes feature lets you build a personal cookbook of camp-ready meals. Each recipe holds a list of ingredients with quantities and a cooler flag, so you can push individual ingredients straight to your Shop list and Pack list with a single tap.
Getting to Recipes
Recipes are accessed through Settings. Open Settings from any tab header, then tap Recipes at the top of the settings list.
Adding a recipe
Tap the + button at the bottom of the Recipes page and fill in:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Recipe name (e.g. "Camp Chili") |
| Servings | No | Number of servings |
| Notes | No | Prep reminders, cooking tips, etc. |
Tap Add to save. Recipes are shown in alphabetical order.
Managing ingredients
Tap a recipe row to open the Recipe Detail page, which lists all its ingredients.
Tap the + button to add an ingredient:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | Ingredient name |
| Quantity | No | Amount (e.g. 2) |
| Unit | No | Unit of measurement (e.g. cups) |
| Needs Cooler | No | Toggle if the ingredient must be kept cold |
Ingredients are sorted alphabetically. A blue Needs Cooler badge is shown next to any ingredient that requires refrigeration.
Sending an ingredient to the Shopping & Pack lists
On the Recipe Detail page, each ingredient row has a cart icon (Add to Shopping List). Tapping it for a single ingredient:
- Creates a shop item for that ingredient.
- Automatically links the shop item to a corresponding pack item (the same behaviour as flagging a pack item as Needs purchase).
- Places cooler-flagged ingredients in the Cooler pack category; all other ingredients go into the Food pack category.
TIP
If an ingredient has a quantity and unit, they are appended to the shop item name for easy reference — e.g. Flour (2 cups).
Adding a recipe to the Eat list
You can schedule a recipe directly into your trip meal plan from either the Recipes list or the Recipe Detail page. Tap the calendar icon (Add to Eat List), choose a date and meal type (Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner), then tap Add. The recipe name appears as a new entry in the Eat tab.
